Magnetization using the combined method
(Testing)

Using the combined method (see Figure 1) the component is magnetized by direct current flow and a coil. The DC pulses generated by the MT test device flow alternately through the component via test cables and magnetic poles and via a coil around the component. The leakages occurring at the cracks make for a clearly defined accumulation of magnetic particles and result in precise and clear crack images.
